Mangaluru: The mother and family members of Nishana, who died under suspicious circumstances at Kallugundi in Sullia, have approached the Dakshina Kannada Superintendent of Police seeking justice and a comprehensive investigation into her death.

The family, accompanied by social activists, submitted a petition to the Superintendent of Police seeking stringent legal action against the three accused in the case. The delegation was led by social activist Hakeem Koornadka.

Family demands comprehensive investigation

The family has urged the police to conduct a detailed and impartial investigation into the circumstances surrounding Nishana’s death.

They have sought strict legal action against the three accused and demanded that those found responsible face severe punishment. The family has specifically called for life imprisonment for the accused if they are found guilty.

The petition comes as the family continues to seek answers regarding the circumstances that led to Nishana’s death at Kallugundi in Sullia.

The family members told the police that a thorough investigation was necessary to establish the facts of the case and ensure that those responsible are brought to justice.

Mother seeks government advocate

Nishana’s mother, Zubaida, also made a specific request regarding the legal proceedings.

She sought the appointment of a qualified government advocate recommended by the family to represent the case. According to the family, having an advocate they have confidence in would help ensure that their concerns are properly represented during the legal process.

The request forms part of the family’s broader appeal for justice and accountability in connection with Nishana’s death.

The family has urged the authorities to ensure that the case is pursued effectively and that the victim’s interests remain protected throughout the proceedings.

Social activists support family

Social activists also accompanied Nishana’s family during the submission of the petition.

Hakeem Koornadka led the delegation, while activists Ashraf and Hannath were also present.

The activists have extended their support to the family and joined the appeal for a comprehensive investigation and stringent action against those responsible.

Their involvement has brought additional attention to the family’s demands, particularly the call for a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death.

Demand for strict punishment

The family has demanded life imprisonment for those responsible for Nishana’s death.

However, the determination of criminal liability and punishment will depend on the findings of the investigation and subsequent legal proceedings. The police are expected to examine the available evidence and statements before taking further action in accordance with law.

The family’s petition reflects its demand that the circumstances surrounding the death be investigated without any gaps and that all those responsible be dealt with strictly if the allegations are established.

Family seeks justice

For Nishana’s family, the petition represents an effort to ensure that the case receives serious attention from the authorities.

The family has called for a comprehensive investigation, stringent legal action against the three accused and adequate legal representation during the proceedings.

Zubaida’s request for a government advocate recommended by the family also highlights the importance the family places on ensuring that its concerns are represented during the case.

The submission of the petition to the Dakshina Kannada Superintendent of Police marks another step in the family’s efforts to seek justice.

The authorities will now have to examine the family’s allegations and concerns as part of the legal process. Further developments are expected as the investigation progresses.
