Newly designated Police Chief Sudheer Kumar Reddy has delivered a firm message to individuals engaged in heinous offenses like homicide, as well as to those who assist, shield, or hide such offenders.

“Let this serve as a final notice—any person who helps a crime or murder suspect, whether by providing a hiding place, food, transportation, financial support, or access to a mobile phone, will be legally considered an accomplice under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS),” Reddy declared.

He stressed that this stern caution applies to friends, family members, and even those residing in the same household as the accused. “Deliberately helping a lawbreaker is a criminal act. Simply claiming to be unaware will not absolve anyone,” he emphasized.

Reddy also encouraged public vigilance, stating, “If you believe a suspect hasn’t been detained, raise the alarm. We will respond immediately. No offender will be overlooked or protected.

This uncompromising stance sends a clear message: the law will extend its reach to not only the criminals but also to their enablers. The era of impunity is over—justice will pursue all who abet wrongdoing.
