Mangaluru: A promising young life was cut short on Thursday morning, August 7, when Melroy Shawn D’Souza (24) lost his life in a tragic road accident at Balmatta.
Melroy, a resident of Modankapu, was a third-year GNM student at a private nursing college in Mangaluru. He was also serving as an intern at a government hospital, balancing academics and service.
According to reports, his two-wheeler crashed into a stationary container, resulting in fatal injuries. He succumbed on the spot.
The incident has been registered at the Kadri Traffic Police Station, and investigations are underway.
The untimely death of Melroy has left the student and medical community in mourning.
