A 22-year-old woman from Odisha has been reported missing after fleeing a shelter home in Mangaluru, prompting police to issue a lookout notice and seek public assistance in tracing her.
The woman, Trisha, hailing from Utkal village in Kalahandi district, Odisha, was earlier found wandering near Kankanady and subsequently admitted to the Prajna Swadhara Centre in Mudipu on July 18, 2024, by Kankanady police.
According to reports, Trisha escaped from the shelter around 7:44 PM on July 30, 2025, by allegedly forcing open the rear kitchen door and scaling the compound wall. Her whereabouts remain unknown since.
Trisha is described as approximately 4 feet tall, dark-skinned, with a strong build and black hair. She has studied up to Class 5 and is fluent in Hindi and Odia. At the time of her disappearance, she was wearing a white chudidar top and blue leggings.
A missing person case (Crime No. 89/2025) has been filed at Konaje Police Station, following a formal complaint from the shelter home superintendent.
