Kallianpur: Noted philanthropist John Baptist Cornelio (75) passed away on February 18, 2025.
A man of deep generosity, Cornelio donated 1.01 acres of land to the Udupi diocese for constructing Anugraha, the diocesan pastoral center.
An entrepreneur who built his career abroad, he created numerous job opportunities through his business. Known for his compassion and selfless service, he consistently supported those in need.
Bishop Dr. Gerald Isaac Lobo, along with Monsignor Ferdinand Gonsalves, Chancellor Dr. Roshan D’Souza, and PRO Denis D’Sa, conveyed their condolences, praising Cornelio’s enduring legacy of kindness.
The funeral service will take place at Milagres Cathedral, Kallianpur, on Sunday, February 23, at 4 PM. The community is invited to pay their respects.
