Mangaluru: Popular ice cream and sundae brand Polar Bear has expanded its footprint in the city by launching its second outlet in Mangaluru. The new store is located on Highland Road, Falnir, offering convenient access from Kankanady Junction towards State Bank Road.
The outlet was formally inaugurated on Sunday, August 17, by Fr Faustine Lobo, director of Father Muller Charitable Institutions, who lit the ceremonial lamp. The event saw the presence of Polar Bear founder Kishor Rai, Narayana Bhat, Flavian D’Souza, and Jayesh D’Souza, the franchise owner of the Falnir outlet.
Extending his wishes, Fr Faustine praised the initiative, stating: “It is a pleasure to bless this venture under such a reputed brand. Polar Bear not only delights customers with authentic flavours but also supports hundreds of families by generating employment. I hope this outlet continues to thrive and spread joy.”
Founder Kishor Rai spoke about the brand’s remarkable journey, noting that Polar Bear now operates over 170 outlets across India, including five in South Canara and two in Mangaluru. With more than 17 years of experience, the chain has built a strong franchise system. He emphasized that their ice creams are 100% dairy-based, vegetarian, and prepared with top-quality ingredients under strict hygiene standards, while also keeping innovation alive by reinventing traditional sundae recipes.
Franchise owner Jayesh D’Souza highlighted the store’s warm and welcoming ambience, created to provide customers a comfortable space to enjoy their desserts.
With its wide variety of sundaes, premium ice creams, and cozy setting, Polar Bear’s Falnir outlet is set to become a go-to destination for dessert enthusiasts in the city.
