Mangaluru – A three-day residential workshop titled ‘Pragati and Sphoorti – 2025’ has kicked off at the World Konkani Centre, aiming to enhance life skills, personality, and cultural values among young members of the Kudala Deshastha Brahmin community.
Organised by Shri Poornananda Seva Pratishtan in collaboration with the Dakshina Kannada District Kudala Deshastha Adya Gaud Brahmin Sangha, the initiative is tailored for college and pre-university students within the community.
At the inauguration, CA Nandagopal Shenoy, President of the World Konkani Centre, emphasized the importance of holistic education—one that balances academics with personal and social development. He also pointed out how the Konkani language strengthens identity and self-assurance.
The workshop features sessions on communication skills, leadership, cultural awareness, and technological literacy. D. Ramesh Nayak Maira, Vice-President of the Centre, noted that the program would nurture practical abilities while deepening students’ connection to their cultural roots.
Other notable attendees included Dr. B. Devadas Pai, Executive Officer, and prominent community leaders. Kudpi Vidya Shenoy conducted the orientation session, setting the stage for the three-day training by outlining its goals and structure.
The workshop reflects a growing emphasis on youth empowerment through value-driven, community-based education that blends modern skills with tradition.
