On July 27, the Rachana Catholic Chamber of Commerce and Industry held an engaging event titled “Trending Strategies” at St. Sebastian Church Hall in Mangaluru. The evening began with a prayer led by Fr. Ashwin Cardoza, Director of ICYM, Diocese of Mangalore.

President John B. Monteiro welcomed the attendees, setting the stage for a session focused on contemporary business practices. Dr. Molly S. Chaudhury, Director of Manel Srinivas Nayak Institute of Management, delivered an insightful talk on evolving business trends. Her presentation covered key topics such as artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things, and organic farming, emphasizing the importance of adapting to these trends for business success.

The event featured an interactive session that engaged the audience and provided practical takeaways. Dr. Chaudhury was honored with a memento in recognition of her valuable contribution.

The program also celebrated achievements within the community, honoring Ivan D’Souza, MLC of Karnataka, and Stany Alvares, President of the Karnataka Konkani Sahitya Academy, for their leadership. Both leaders expressed gratitude and shared their commitment to supporting Rachana’s future initiatives.

A highlight of the evening was the unveiling of Rachana’s Silver Jubilee program, scheduled for November 3. This announcement was made by CA Lionel Aranha, accompanied by past presidents and event organizers.

The event concluded with announcements of upcoming initiatives, including an Environment Preservation Day and an entrepreneurship program in collaboration with ICYM. The session was skillfully compared by CA Vikram Jude Saldanha and organized by Convenor Nelson Monteiro.
