Mangaluru: Rohan Corporation honoured the winners of the 72nd National Film Awards at a felicitation ceremony held at Rohan City, Bejai, on Saturday, recognising their outstanding contributions to cinema and literature.
The programme brought together National Film Award recipients, members of the media, invited guests, and employees of the company.

Award winners honoured
The ceremony was presided over by Mr. Dion Monteiro, Director of Rohan Corporation, and Mrs. Sumana, General Manager, who congratulated the award winners for bringing national recognition to the coastal region through their achievements.
Those felicitated included:
- Roopashree Vorkady, recipient of the National Film Award for Best Supporting Actress for Mithya.

- Master Athish S. Shetty, winner of the Best Child Artist award for Mithya.
- Dr. Pradeep Kenchanuru, honoured with the National Award for Best Book on Cinema.
- Shivadhwaj Shetty and Prashanth Rai, director and producer of Imbu, which won the Best Tulu Film award at the 72nd National Film Awards.

Addressing the gathering, Dion Monteiro congratulated the award winners on their accomplishments and said their success had brought immense pride to the coastal region.
He noted that it was a privilege for Rohan Corporation to honour individuals who had excelled at the national level and expressed hope that their achievements would inspire aspiring artists, filmmakers, writers, and storytellers from the region.
The programme was compered by Lavita D’Souza and concluded with the felicitation ceremony followed by a vote of thanks.
