Mangaluru: Sahyadri College of Engineering and Management has once again made history by winning the overall championship for the 8th time in the VTU 26th Inter-Collegiate State Level Athletic Championship, held at JNNCE, Shivamogga, from March 15 to 18. The college emerged as the men’s and women’s division champions, while also securing second place in March Past.
With 1,434 athletes from 126 colleges competing in the event, the victory further cements Sahyadri College’s reputation as a sports powerhouse under Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), which has 201 colleges and 4 lakh students.

Sahyadri College, founded in 2007-08 under the leadership of MLA Manjunath Bhandary, has been participating in VTU’s state-level sports meets since 2008-09. Over the years, the institution has secured:
