Mangaluru: Sahyadri College of Engineering & Management is set to organise a two-day Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on “Patent Drafting and Commercialization” on February 17 and 18, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The event will be held on the college campus in Mangaluru.

The FDP, sponsored by the Karnataka State Council for Science & Technology (KSCST), Bengaluru, is organised by the Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) Cell and the Department of Mechanical & Robotics Engineering at Sahyadri College.

The primary objective of the programme is to raise awareness about Intellectual Property Rights (IPR), focusing on the legal framework and patent filing processes in India and internationally. It will also delve into the commercialisation of patents, helping faculty, researchers, and industry professionals better understand the economic and legal dimensions of intellectual property.
