Mangaluru: S.C.S Hospital, Mangaluru, observed International Yoga Day with a special yoga training session for its staff, highlighting the importance of yoga in promoting physical health, mental well-being and a balanced lifestyle.

The programme was conducted under the guidance of Yoga Ratna Shri Gopalakrishna Delampady, who led the participants through various yoga practices and wellness techniques.
Yoga promotes better quality of life
The event was inaugurated by Dr. Jeevaraj Sorake, Chairman and Managing Director of S.C.S Hospital, who lit the ceremonial lamp and addressed the gathering.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Sorake emphasized the importance of incorporating yoga into daily life. He said regular yoga practice helps improve overall well-being and enables individuals to lead a healthier and better quality of life.
He encouraged hospital staff to practise yoga consistently to manage work-related stress, improve mental health, enhance concentration and overcome many common health issues.

The training programme was supported by the disciples of Yoga Ratna Shri Gopalakrishna Delampady, including Mrs. Neena Pai, Mrs. Sushila Kumari V., Mrs. Bharathi S. Rao and Mrs. Suma.
Hospital staff members participated enthusiastically in the session and learned various techniques aimed at improving physical fitness, flexibility, breathing control and mental relaxation.
The programme was coordinated and compered by Mr. Anees, Public Relations Officer of S.C.S Hospital.
