Belthangady: Several people were injured after a car and a Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) bus collided head-on on the National Highway near Kokkada in Belthangady taluk on Saturday, September 12.
The accident occurred when the car was travelling from Dharmasthala towards Bengaluru, while the KSRTC bus was proceeding from Subrahmanya towards Dharmasthala. The two vehicles collided head-on, resulting in extensive damage to their front portions.
Three bus passengers among injured
Three passengers travelling in the KSRTC bus and several occupants of the car are reported to have sustained injuries in the collision.
The injured were shifted to a hospital for medical treatment. The condition of the injured and the extent of their injuries were not immediately available.
The impact was severe, with the front section of both the car and the bus badly damaged in the collision.
