Mangaluru: In celebration of the success of Operation Sindhoora, the Sindhoora Vijayotsava Samiti organized a grand victory procession on Tuesday. The jubilant rally began at PVS Circle and concluded at Lalbagh, drawing a large crowd of participants and onlookers.

The celebrations culminated in a public gathering at Karavali Ground, where retired Navy officer Sudhir Pai addressed the attendees. He hailed Operation Sindhoora as a notable triumph for the Indian Armed Forces, underscoring that every Indian should take immense pride in the military’s dedication and strength.

The event was presided over by Keshav Nandodi, the committee’s coordinator. Writer Rashmi Samant from Udupi also shared her thoughts, praising the valour and commitment of the forces.

The function saw the participation of many religious and community leaders, including:

  • Rajshekharananda Swamiji of Gurupura Vajradehi Math

  • Gurudevananda Swamiji of Sri Kshetra Odiyur

  • Swastishree Bhattaraka Panditacharyavarya Swamiji of Moodbidri Jain Math

  • Vidyananda Saraswati Swamiji of Om Shri Math

  • Mata Shivajnanamayi Saraswati

  • Sri Sai Ishwar Guruji of Shankarpura

  • Kalladka Prabhakar Bhat, Kamala Prabhakar Bhat, and Prof. M.B. Puranik, VHP’s state working president, were also present, along with district VHP president H.K. Purushottam.

    Several local legislators, including D. Vedavyas Kamath, Y. Bharath Shetty, Umanath Kotian, Rajesh Naik, Bhagirathi Murulya, and Kishore Kumar, attended the event. BJP district president Satish Kumpala was also among the dignitaries.
