Mangaluru: Snehalaya Charitable Institution, a leading organisation dedicated to the rescue, treatment, care, and rehabilitation of persons with mental illness, will organise a grand musical extravaganza on June 21, 2026, at 6 pm at Town Hall, Mangaluru, to raise funds for its humanitarian and welfare initiatives.

Since its inception in 2009, Snehalaya has been providing continuous services to individuals suffering from mental illness across the Mangaluru and Kasaragod regions. Over the past 17 years, the institution has emerged as a respected centre for mental healthcare and rehabilitation, helping hundreds of vulnerable individuals regain dignity and reconnect with society.

Over 1,750 Persons Rehabilitated

The institution has successfully rescued and rehabilitated more than 1,750 residents, enabling them to recover, reunite with their families, and reintegrate into society.

Currently, Snehalaya provides care and support to around 375 residents while implementing a range of welfare programmes, including psychiatric treatment, de-addiction services, rehabilitation initiatives, and educational support for family members with special needs.

The upcoming fundraising event has been organised to support these ongoing projects and ensure the continuation of the institution’s vital services.

The musical programme will be spearheaded by Kevin Misquith, a renowned musician, entrepreneur, lyricist, composer, and singer.

Kevin has produced six music albums and has performed in more than 53 musical shows worldwide, entertaining audiences in countries such as the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Oman, and Bahrain.

After a gap of seven years, he is set to make a grand return to the stage through this special musical concert, which promises an evening of entertainment while supporting a noble cause.

Supporting a Noble Mission

Organisers said that all proceeds from the entertainment programme will be donated towards Snehalaya’s humanitarian service activities and welfare projects.

The event aims not only to raise funds but also to create awareness about mental health issues and the importance of community support in rehabilitating and empowering individuals living with mental illness.

Members of the public are invited to participate in the programme and contribute towards strengthening the institution’s efforts in transforming lives and promoting mental health care in the region.
