To accommodate the Christmas rush, the South Western Railway (SWR) has introduced two special train services between Yeshwantpur and Mangaluru Junction. Dakshina Kannada MP Captain Brijesh Chotwa announced the move, saying it aims to bring convenience and cheer to those heading to Mangaluru for the festivities.

Train Schedule:

  • Train No. 06505: Departs Yeshwantpur at 11:55 p.m. on December 23 and 27, arriving at Mangaluru Junction at 11:45 a.m. the next day.
  • Train No. 06506: Leaves Mangaluru Junction at 1:00 p.m. on December 24 and 28, reaching Yeshwantpur by 10:30 p.m.

Key stops along the route include Kunigal, Channarayapatna, Hassan, Sakleshpura, Subrahmanya Road, Kabakaputtur, and Bantwal.

These trains are expected to ease travel for passengers planning to visit family or celebrate Christmas in coastal Karnataka.
