Puttur: The NSS Unit of St Philomena Autonomous College, Puttur, has been awarded the Taluk-Level Best NSS Unit Award 2025, a prestigious recognition for its exemplary service and contribution to society.
Award presentation ceremony
The award was conferred by the Puttur Taluk Youth Federation in association with the Department of Youth Empowerment and Sports during the Swami Vivekananda Jayanti and Taluk Youth Awards 2025 ceremony. The event, hosted at Asmi Comfort, Puttur, was organised in collaboration with Rotary Club Puttur Central and other stakeholders.
Recognition and appreciation
The award was presented to the college representatives, including Dr Vijayakumar M., Vice Principal, and NSS Program Officers Mr Vasudeva K. and Mrs Pushpa. Dr Chandrashekhar and student leaders from the NSS Units were also present to receive the honour. Mr Panjigudde Eshwar Bhat, President of the Shri Mahalingeshwara Temple Management Committee, presented the award in a ceremony attended by dignitaries and student representatives.
