In a concerning incident on Saturday, an unidentified individual threw a plastic cover containing suspicious items resembling ganja into the quarantine section of the Mangaluru district prison.

Prison security personnel Inayatullah spotted the plastic cover and alerted supervisor Parashuramappa, who informed assistant jailor Sharanabasappa Swamy. Upon inspection, the cover was found to contain leaves and seeds with a strong odor resembling ganja, along with white, stone-like substances.

The Barke police have registered a case and initiated an investigation into the matter.
