Vehicular movement along the Charmady Ghat faced significant disruption on Sunday, lasting nearly two hours, following an incident involving a large container lorry with 32 tyres. Negotiating a curve proved challenging for the lorry, resulting in its front portion becoming lodged in the slush.

Initially, vehicles managed to navigate around the obstruction, utilizing available space at the roadside. However, the situation escalated when a KSRTC bus also encountered difficulty, with its tires becoming stuck. This led to a lengthy queue of vehicles forming on both sides of the ghat.

Efforts were made to alleviate the congestion and facilitate smoother traffic flow. However, the situation was compounded later in the evening when a KSRTC bus experienced mechanical issues on the sixth curve, further impeding traffic movement for a brief period.
