A tragic accident occurred under the Konaje police station limits on Sunday night, resulting in the death of a scooter rider, Seetharama (45), leaving his family bereaved. Seetharama, a resident of Innolipadavu, had visited Asaigoli with a friend. On his way back home, he lost control of his scooter near Pajir Old Church and fell into a pothole. He was thrown from the vehicle, suffering a severe head injury after crashing against a compound wall. Despite being rushed to a private hospital in Deralakatte and then to another hospital due to the severity of his injuries, he succumbed shortly thereafter.
Seetharama is survived by his wife, son, and daughter. Known for his mild nature and sociable personality, he worked as a supervisor and was fondly remembered for donning a tiger costume during Navaratri celebrations. His sudden death has left his family devastated.
