Kumbra, Jun 16: In a tragic accident on Sunday, June 16, two men lost their lives in a collision between an Alto car and a Bolero vehicle at Shekhamale in Kumbra. The deceased, identified as Lokesh and Ravindra BN, hailed from Madikeri.
The Bolero vehicle was en route to Madikeri from Mangaluru when the accident occurred. The chain of events began when the Alto car, while traveling near Shekhamale, struck a bike. Following this initial impact, the driver of the Alto lost control of the vehicle, leading to a head-on collision with the Bolero. The force of the crash resulted in the immediate deaths of Lokesh and Ravindra, who were inside the Bolero.
The bike rider involved in the initial collision also sustained injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. The severity of the incident has raised concerns about road safety and driving caution in the area.
