A joyful trip to Jog Falls turned into tragedy when a private bus carrying 55 passengers overturned on December 15 due to a technical malfunction near the destination.
Fatal Injuries
Bharathi (55), a resident of Shambhoor Mundajore, sustained critical injuries to her chest and arm during the accident. Despite receiving treatment at A J Hospital in Mangaluru, she succumbed to her injuries after battling for 15 days.
Family Impact
Bharathi’s daughter, who also sustained injuries in the mishap, remains under medical care at the same hospital. The incident has left the family and community in deep mourning.
