Mangaluru Police have detained Sharan, a TV channel cameraman, for his alleged involvement in the recent vandalism at a massage center in Bejai. This development follows the arrest of Prasad Attavara, founder of the Sri Rama Sena, who was linked to the same incident.

Sources indicate that Sharan was present when Sri Rama Sena activists broke into the establishment, damaged property, and assaulted staff. Despite witnessing the act, Sharan reportedly failed to alert the authorities, raising questions about his role in the incident.

This is not Sharan’s first controversy. In 2009, he was arrested for his involvement in the infamous Mangaluru pub attack, where he accompanied vandals and filmed the event, which drew global attention.

The police are currently interrogating Sharan as part of their investigation into the Bejai incident, aiming to uncover his level of complicity and any potential prior knowledge of the attack.

Authorities continue to assure the public that those responsible for such acts of lawlessness will be held accountable.
