Sullia: Two persons were injured after a car overturned near Bolubailu on the Mani–Mysuru National Highway on Sunday evening.
According to reports, the car was travelling from Puttur towards Sullia when the accident occurred at Bolubailu. The incident reportedly happened when the driver attempted to give way to an oncoming vehicle.
During the manoeuvre, the driver allegedly lost control of the car, causing it to overturn on the highway.
Two passengers injured
Co-passengers Hema and Srichand sustained injuries in the accident. A small child travelling in the vehicle and the driver also suffered minor injuries.
Locals who noticed the accident rushed to the spot and assisted in rescuing the passengers from the overturned vehicle.
Injured shifted to hospital
The injured were later shifted to a private hospital in Sullia for treatment.
Medical sources said that the injured persons are receiving treatment and are reported to be out of danger.
