Rome: U.T. Khader, during his visit to Rome for an interfaith dialogue programme, was felicitated by two Karnataka-based Christian organizations: Konkani Kutam Rome and the Kannadigas Federation, Rome. The event took place at St. Peter’s Pontifical College, a prestigious institution at the heart of Christianity.
A call for service and education
Speaking at the event, Khader highlighted the historic contributions of Christian missionaries in establishing schools and improving rural education in India. He urged the attendees to let their higher education and experiences in Rome inspire them to contribute selflessly to the development of rural Karnataka.

U.T. Khader was formally felicitated for his services to the community. Father Lawrence Noronha, the programme coordinator, welcomed the gathering, while Sister Carmel, from the Vatican’s communications department, delivered the vote of thanks.
