Union Bank of India’s regional office in Mangaluru conducted a one-day Hindi workshop for its staff across the region’s branches on Thursday. The workshop aimed to enhance the employees’ proficiency in Hindi and promote its use in daily banking operations. A Rajamani, the regional head, inaugurated the program, emphasizing the importance of Hindi as a medium for effective communication with customers and within the organization.
The workshop included various sessions designed to improve the staff’s Hindi language skills, covering aspects such as grammar, vocabulary, and official correspondence. Employees participated actively, engaging in interactive exercises and discussions to better understand the language’s nuances.
Such initiatives are part of the bank’s ongoing efforts to support the government’s policy of promoting Hindi and ensuring that employees are well-equipped to serve customers in their preferred language.
