A road accident near Pulittady, close to Poly on the Mani-Mysuru National Highway, left three people injured after two cars collided.
The crash occurred when a car traveling from Mangaluru to Puttur collided with a wedding car heading to B C Road auditorium. The latter, adorned with flower bouquets, lost control when strong winds dislodged a bouquet, striking the driver’s side window. This caused the vehicle to veer into the opposite lane, resulting in the collision.
The Mangaluru-bound car suffered severe front-end damage, and its three occupants sustained injuries. They were promptly taken to a nearby hospital for medical attention.
Traffic was briefly disrupted before Puttur traffic police arrived to clear the scene and restore normal flow on the highway.
