Mangaluru: White Doves in Mangaluru witnessed a meaningful health awareness programme as the Department of Orthopaedics, Father Muller’s, marked the conclusion of Bone and Joint Week with residents.
White Doves becomes a centre for health awareness
The programme focused on helping residents understand the importance of maintaining healthy bones and joints and preventing common problems associated with ageing and reduced mobility.
Audio-visual presentations offered practical guidance on preventing falls, incorporating daily exercise to strengthen bones and following healthy dietary practices.
Residents also received guidance on the importance of timely check-ups for concerns involving the spine, knees, hands and other joints. The sessions provided an opportunity for residents to learn more about preventive care and maintaining mobility and well-being.
Father Muller’s doctors serve the community
A special appreciation was extended to Dr Latheesh Leo and the team of doctors from the Department of Orthopaedics at Father Muller’s for bringing their expertise and medical guidance to the residents of White Doves.
Their efforts highlighted the value of taking specialised healthcare and preventive awareness directly to communities, particularly senior residents who can benefit from regular guidance on mobility and bone health.
Doves released as a message of hope
The programme at White Doves also carried a symbolic message. In keeping with the institution’s tradition, doves were released during the inauguration as a reminder of hope, peace and well-being.
The gesture beautifully complemented the health-focused initiative, making the programme not only an occasion for medical awareness but also one that celebrated care, compassion and community.
The Bone and Joint Week conclusion at White Doves served as a reminder that maintaining healthy bones and joints is an important part of preserving independence, dignity and quality of life.
