In a tragic turn of events, the Bajpe police have solved the murder case of Taranath, aged 39, whose body was found on October 27 near a drinking water tank in Gidigere Dakhars, situated behind the Katil Primary Health Center in Kondemul village. Investigations revealed that his wife, Devaki, aged 42, was responsible for his death.
Devaki has been arrested and presented in court, where she has been remanded to judicial custody.According to police reports, Devaki confessed to strangling Taranath with a cable wire after enduring a prolonged period of harassment. She stated that Taranath would return home intoxicated daily, subjecting her and other family members to abuse. This history of violence and intimidation ultimately led her to commit the fatal act.
A case has been officially registered at the Bajpe police station, and investigations are ongoing as authorities look into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
