In a shocking incident, a woman from Kasargod, initially admitted to one hospital and later transferred to another, was raped multiple times. The victim filed a police complaint on May 15, 2024, at Mangaluru East Police Station, detailing the harrowing ordeal.
According to the complaint, the victim was admitted to a hospital for fistula treatment on March 13, 2024, accompanied by an individual named Sujith. While staying in room number 48 of the hospital, Sujith forcibly raped the victim on March 16, 2024, at around 8 pm, and took nude photos of her using his mobile phone.
Sujith then coerced the victim to accompany him to Mangaluru on April 4, where he confined her at the Maharaja Residency Hotel from April 4 to 8. During this time, he continued to threaten and rape her. Later, the victim was admitted to another hospital for food poisoning treatment on April 8 and remained there until May 10. Sujith allegedly raped her multiple times during her hospital stay, threatening her with the nude photos he had taken earlier.
A police case has been registered under Crime No. 76/24, Sections 376, 506, and 149 IPC.
The accused, Sujith K, son of Ravindran Nair from Kodavalam, Pullur village, Hosadurga taluk, Kerala, has been arrested and presented in court. Investigations are ongoing.
