On the night of July 22, a serious accident occurred near the Golikatte Mosque in Parladka when a tyre ring burst while a worker was fitting a tyre on a lorry. The incident resulted in severe injuries to the worker and also injured the driver who was present at the scene.
Rasheed, a resident of Karaya, was engaged in repairing a punctured tyre on the lorry when the inner ring unexpectedly and forcefully ejected. The sudden burst caused Rasheed and the disk to be violently thrown into a nearby wall, resulting in serious injuries. The driver, who was assisting Rasheed with the repair, was also propelled a considerable distance and sustained injuries as well.
Emergency services responded swiftly to the accident. Rasheed was initially taken to the Puttur government hospital for immediate care. Due to the severity of his injuries, he was subsequently transferred to a hospital in Mangaluru for advanced treatment. The driver’s injuries were treated locally, but details about his condition were not immediately available.
