Puttur: A 24-year-old man died in a road accident involving a KSRTC bus and a motorcycle near Nelliguri in Bolikkala, Keyyur village, on Saturday.
Motorcycle collides with KSRTC bus
According to the report, the accident occurred when a KSRTC bus travelling from Madavu Katte towards Savanur collided head-on with a motorcycle travelling from Savanur towards Puttur.
The motorcycle rider, identified as Abhilash (24), a resident of Bambila near Kumaramangila, died at the spot due to the impact.
Family left devastated
Abhilash is survived by his father, mother and siblings. His sudden death has left his family and the local community deeply saddened.
The incident also caused concern among people in the area, with residents gathering at the accident spot following the collision.
Police begin investigation
Puttur police visited the scene and conducted an inspection following the accident. Further details regarding the circumstances and exact cause of the collision are expected as the investigation progresses.
