Mangaluru: A heated argument erupted between BJP and Congress party workers near the Saibaba temple in the city’s Urava Chilimbi area on Thursday over campaigning near the temple.
The BJP workers were conducting a campaign in front of the Sai Baba temple, where Ramanavami celebrations were underway.
The Congress workers objected to the BJP party workers’ campaign outside the temple area. The argument escalated, and at one point, both sets of workers pushed and shoved each other. The police intervened and brought the situation under control by dispersing the workers. MLA Mithun Rai and Vedvyas Kamat visited the scene.
