Maharastra: In a shocking incident in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, a 16-year-old boy has been charged with attempted murder after allegedly attacking his 19-year-old friend, Adarsh Ingle. The motive behind the attack is said to be the victim’s failure to respond to the accused’s phone calls and his association with new friends.

Incident Details

The incident unfolded in the Nyaynagar neighborhood of Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Maharashtra, late on Thursday night, December 14. Adarsh Ingle, the victim, was reportedly stabbed in the shoulder and chest. Ingle, who cried out for help after the attack, is currently recuperating in a private hospital in the city.

Motivation Behind the Attack

The accused, a 16-year-old teenager, confronted Ingle during the attack, questioning him about not returning calls and spending time with a new group of friends. The confrontation escalated into a violent assault, leading to Ingle sustaining injuries.

Legal Actions Taken

Adarsh Ingle filed a complaint against the accused, resulting in charges of criminal intimidation and attempted murder. The police took swift action, apprehending the minor suspect on Friday, December 15. The accused appeared before the child welfare committee and was subsequently sent to a juvenile home.

Background of the Relationship

Both the accused and the victim were reportedly close friends for an extended period. The police, during the initial investigation, revealed that the accused expressed anger over Ingle’s avoidance and his newfound friendship circle. Both boys hail from lower-middle-class families and reside in neighboring colonies.

Police Insights

Inspector Rajesh Yadav provided insights into the case, stating that the accused’s anger stemmed from feelings of being ignored by Ingle and the perception that the victim was prioritizing time with new friends. The incident highlights the emotional intensity and potential volatility in teenage friendships.
