Compassionate yet Competitive – Women of the Future

The ‘Mrs. India – Queen of Substance’ pageant is the national pride and treasure of India. The pageant is the most respectable title and award in India for married women. ‘Mrs. India – Queen of Substance’ holds an annual pageant in two different categories to identify married Indian women who exemplify beauty, talent, intelligence and compassion.
The event was flagged off by actors Mahima Chaudhry and Bhagyashree with a talent round. The pageant was designed, developed and produced by Ritika Vinay who was crowned as Mrs. Asia Pacific – Queen of Substance 2014.

Being a social activist, Ritika is doing her part in Diabetes awareness, arranging monthly medical camps and awareness drives in schools. She has been instrumental in creating the Mrs. India -Queen of Substance platform in the country.

About India Queen of Substance 2016, Sneha Shergill:

Indeed a queen of substance building children and adults with skills in dance and fitness, she has established immense reputation. Sneha was born in Nasik in Maharashtra is now happily married and settled in Bangalore, Karnataka. She has been a self motivated individual with high levels of energy balancing work and family for several years now.

The stage, people, production and training have been close to her heart ever since she began her career in choreography and drama. The idea of Mrs. India Queen of Substance 2016 struck her mind on a flight to Bangalore. The answers to her questions about women and their empowerment were all answered at a shot. Her realization of Compassionate yet Competitive lead her to enroll in to the pageant.

During the pageant, Sneha prepared for the several rounds of evaluations, presentations, engagements that promote development in children and the specially able. Her effort was the participation and contribution than winning however deep within she always said ‘I am winning’. That’s the essence of women who are service driven.
Undeniably, Sneha has received immense support from her family and friends. She proudly claims her title as Mrs. India amongst 40 participants on stage, millions of aspirants across the country and dedicates it to the women, children and the families who need attention and support to harness a winning spirit, each day.

“Holding the title Mrs. India has brought me enormous confidence, satisfaction and responsibility for bringing the finest experiences to the systems I am associated with. I believe in serendipity and I stand all motivated in achieving this as a team with all beings who share a similar vision. For me the title Mrs. India is the beginning of a journey with excellence and results. We will always win! We are Compassionate yet Competitive”, Sneha said.

Sneha clearly dedicates her time to family and career. The Mrs. India paradigm set by her today indeed has a meticulous roadmap for the year 2016. She has allocated time for the surgeries of children with congenital heart ailments. The initiative is a part of The Mrs. India Queen of Substance platform. It is called as ‘Save the Little Heart’.

Secondly, she is a part ‘NOW – Nurturing Outstanding Women’, an initiative of Transcendix, Bangalore. An out of the box program focused in developing Indian women. Irrespective of class, creed, region, economical strength, there is a Queen in every woman. NOW is designed to support every one of them who join in.
