Puttur: Head Constable of Konaje Police Station Jagannath (44), a resident of Savanur in Puttur Taluk, died of heart attack on Saturday August 6 while on duty at the Police Station.
The deceased is survived by his wife and two daughters. Jagannath, who was in police service for the past 22 years, was posted at Konaje Police Station, Ullal Police Station, Traffic Police Station and presently was serving in the SB Division of Konaje Police Station.
He fell ill while on duty this morning and was admitted to a private hospital in Deralakatte where he succumbed to his injuries. The body will be cremated at his native Savanur after paying last respects at the commissioner’s office
