Udupi: T. Mohandas Pai (89), the Founder of Manipal Institutions and eldest son of Dr. T. M. A. Pai passed away on Sunday July 31.
Pai died due to age-related ailments. He is survived by his sisters, four brothers, Satish U. Pai, Dr. T. Ramdas Pai, T. Narayan Pai, and T. Ashok Pai.
T. Mohandas Pai, an alumnus of MGM College, pursued law studies after completing his intermediate and later grew into an entrepreneur in Manipal. He joined as a partner in a number of Manipal’s business and financial initiatives, including Manipal Press, Udayavani, and Industrial Credit and Development Syndicate Ltd.
Public can pay their final respects to the departed soul at the new Ravindra Mantapa of MGM College, Udupi between 9.00 am to 11.00 am on August 1.
