Well known Kannada writer Champa no more

Bengaluru: Well-known Kannada writer Prof. Chandrashekar Patil, popularly called as Champa has passed away. He was 83-year-old.

A retired English Professor of the Karnataka University, Dharwad, Champa was a revolutionary writer. He penned novels, poems, articles, several plays, and story collections beside penning columns for many media houses including famed Lankesh weekly.

He was running his own literary magazine called Sankramana. He also served Kannada Sahitya Parishad President.
