Bengaluru: The Indian cricket team is sweating it out at the preparatory camp for the South Africa series in Bengaluru.
This training camp, also to be held in Bangalore from September 21 to 27. India fast bowler Mohammed Shami, who has not played international cricket since the World Cup in February-March, has been picked among 30 cricketers to be part of a preparatory camp ahead of the series against South Africa on October 2.
Youngsters like Lokesh Rahul, Karun Nair, Axar Patel, Karn Sharma, Dhawal Kulkarni and Manish Pandey have also been given a chance to impress.
The series against South Africa consists of three Twenty20 Internationals, five One-Day Internationals and four Test matches, which will be played during the months of October, November and early December.
