Mangaluru: The Independence Day celebration was held at Nehru Maidan in the City on Monday August 15. District In-Charge Minister V. Sunil Kumar hoisted the national flag and received the guard of honour. Deputy Commissioner Dr. Rajendra K. V., MLAs B. Vedavyas Kamath and Dr. Bharath Y. Shetty, Superintendent of Police Rishikesh Sonawane, DCP (Law and Order) Anshu Kumar, Mayor Premananda Shetty, and Zilla Panchayat Chief Executive Officer Kumar were present.
