Mysuru: The oxygen quota to Mysuru district has been raised from 41,000 litres to 47,000 litres, said Mysuru-Kodagu Member of Parliament and District Oxygen Workforce president, Pratap Simha here on Tuesday, May 18.

In his media release, the Lok Sabha member said, “The state-level nodal officer for oxygen supply, Manish Moudgil had nodded 41,000 litres of oxygen for Mysuru district but we had requested 58,000 litres. We informed him that it would not be possible to meet the demand and requested an increase in the quota. Heeding my request, the oxygen quota has been increased to 47,000 litres,” Simha said.

“In fact, Additional Deputy Commissioner B S Manjunatha Swamy had spoken to Moudgil. I would like to thank him for considering our request. If the quota of oxygen is increased to 58,000 litres, we will be able to manage the Covid situation,” he added.
