Strict rules to be followed to avoid second wave of Covid: DC

Mysuru: District Commissioner Rohini Sindhuri has requested everyone living in cities and rural areas to wear a mask and maintain a physical distance as Covid-19 cases are increasing day by day in the district.

With the increasing number of Covid cases in the state and in neighbouring states like Maharashtra and Kerala, there is the fear of witnessing the second wave of Covid 19.

She said, “If anyone has the symptoms of Covid-19 like fever, cough, cold, headache should visit the nearest hospital immediately.”

“All senior citizens over the age of 60 years and those aged 45 years to 60 years who suffer from any chronic illness must get vaccinated immediately,” she added.

The new Covid guidelines issued by the government has to be strictly implemented to prevent the spread of Covid-19.

Further, she said “Due to the cooperation of the citizens of Mysuru, the district was able to control the infection last year. This time too, public cooperation is required. It is mandatory to wear a mask and to maintain social distance.” Follow the new Covid guidelines and cooperate with the government,” she requested.
