Mysuru: A new book titled Nalwadi Krishnaraja Wadiyar mattu Adhunika Mysuru (Nalwadi Krishnaraja Wadiyar and Modern Mysuru), authored by S Chandrashekar, will be released on June 4 at the B M Sri Auditorium of the Kuvempu Institute of Kannada Studies (KIKS), University of Mysore, Manasagangotri.
The event is being jointly organised by the Bengaluru Urban District Kannada Sahitya Parishat (KSP), Mysuru District Kannada Sahitya Parishat and the Kuvempu Institute of Kannada Studies to commemorate the 142nd birth anniversary of Nalwadi Krishnaraja Wadiyar, one of the most respected rulers of the erstwhile Mysuru State.

Addressing reporters in Mysuru, Bengaluru Urban District Kannada Sahitya Parishat President M Prakashamurthy said noted writer and scholar Baraguru Ramachandrappa will formally release the book.
Renowned critic O L Nagabhushana Swamy will deliver a special address and offer insights into the themes and historical significance of the publication.
Several distinguished guests are expected to attend the event, including Mysuru District Kannada Sahitya Parishat President Maddikere Gopal, Commercial Taxes Department Joint Commissioner Sangamesh Upase and author S Chandrashekar.
