Chief Minister Siddaramaiah traveled by road from Mysuru to the Shiradi Ghat landslide site, using the journey to gather information on various road projects. At Bilikere Cross, officials briefed him on the proposed 41 km four-lane National Highway between Bilikere Cross and Yadagondanahalli, a significant project valued at ₹600 crore, with tenders already called.

Concerned about road safety, the CM issued instructions to fill potholes along the route once the rains subside to prevent accidents. In Hole Narasipur taluk’s Doddakadanur, he directed officials via phone to replace dangerously located electric poles and repair hazardous wiring. Additionally, damaged road dividers identified at Halli Mysuru prompted him to instruct immediate repairs.

During his journey, well-wishers awaited the CM with garlands and shawls to celebrate his birthday. However, Siddaramaiah, who does not celebrate his birthday, waved them off, saying, “I do not celebrate my birthday,” and continued on his way.
