Mysuru: BJP city president L Nagendra has strongly opposed the state government’s decision to shut down Janaushadi Kendras, which provide affordable medicines to the underprivileged. He urged the government to immediately revoke the order, warning that the party will intensify its protest if the directive is not reversed.
“Out of over 1,200 essential medicines, nearly 800 are available at these centres. They serve as a crucial support for economically weaker sections,” Nagendra stated.
He emphasized that Janaushadi Kendras play a vital role in public health, and their closure would severely affect access to affordable medication.
