At the Janapadotsava folk festival held at Vijayanagar Govt Women’s First Grade College, Chamundeshwari MLA G.T. Devegowda urged students not to see exam failure as the end, but as a stepping stone to future success. “What seems like failure today can turn into tomorrow’s victory,” he said, stressing the importance of resilience and goal-setting.

Encouraging a simple lifestyle, Devegowda advised students to avoid extravagance, especially in matters like lavish weddings. “Don’t sell your property for a grand wedding—invest in your future instead,” he emphasized. He praised the academic performance of women students and stressed the need for discipline, yoga, and focused study habits to succeed in life.

Drawing inspiration from icons like Akka Mahadevi and Savitribai Phule, he urged students to follow their ideals to shape a meaningful life. He also highlighted efforts to support education through CSR funds, while expressing regret over the incomplete girls’ hostel project.

Retired Kannada professor and orator M. Krishnegowda echoed the sentiment, underlining that in today’s competitive world, true knowledge paired with good academic scores ensures a secure future.

Their messages together formed a powerful reminder: don’t give up, live simply, learn constantly, and aim high.
