A property dispute between two brothers has spiraled into an unusual and violent incident involving a dog attack in JC Nagar.

Manu, a resident of the area, has been booked at Nazarabad police station after allegedly instructing his Great Dane to bite his nephew. According to the complaint, Dr. Mukund’s son, Chirayu, was mauled by Manu’s dog during the confrontation.

Dr. Mukund and Manu have reportedly been at odds for a long time over ownership of a piece of land, leading to frequent clashes. Manu is known to walk his Great Dane without a leash, disregarding safety norms.

Two days ago, tensions escalated when Chirayu encountered Manu outside the property. It is alleged that Manu intentionally brought the unleashed dog close and gestured for it to attack. Responding to the signal, the Great Dane lunged at Chirayu, leaving him injured.

Following the incident, Dr. Mukund filed a formal complaint demanding strict action against Manu for endangering his son and ignoring basic precautions.

Police have registered an FIR under relevant sections and are investigating whether the attack was premeditated as claimed. Officials also stated that further statements from witnesses and veterinary reports will be collected to build the case.

The episode has shocked local residents, raising concerns over pet safety regulations and the misuse of animals in personal disputes. Authorities have appealed to the public to exercise caution and report any similar incidents promptly.
