Residents of Ittigegud have voiced numerous complaints regarding the poor state of road conditions and traffic issues, yet no action has been taken by the Mysore City Corporation (MCC) or the Traffic Police. Despite an increase in stamp duty on property taxes, the roads remain in a deplorable state.
Every day, individuals risk slipping or falling at the end of 4th Cross Road due to a large manhole exposed since a pipeline was laid four months ago. The main road, used by thousands of vehicles daily, is also in terrible condition, exacerbating the community’s frustration.
It has been over four months since the pipeline installation, yet the roads remain unpaved. Residents are questioning who is responsible for this delay. Despite numerous complaints lodged with the MCC, there has been no response or indication of when these roads will be repaired.
The community emphasizes that the MCC must complete the job, regardless of whether there is a Corporator. The entire city of Mysore suffers from bad roads and potholes, and the elected representatives seem indifferent to the issue.
Residents have also expressed frustration with the MCC’s unresponsive landline number (0821-2418800), which is always busy. They question whether this is intentional. The residents of Mysuru are beginning to wonder about the efficacy of the MCC and are considering the involvement of private organizations.
The citizens of Ittigegud demand proper roads and urge the MCC and elected representatives to take responsibility and ensure all roads are in a motorable state.
