Mysuru: MLC AH Vishwanath has called on Chief Minister Siddaramaiah to address the ongoing scandal involving the Mysuru Urban Development Authority (MUDA) by surrendering all 14 disputed sites back to the urban body. Speaking to reporters on Tuesday, Vishwanath held Urban Development Minister Byrathi Suresh accountable for the irregularities and urged that the case be handed over to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) to ensure transparency.

Vishwanath criticized the government for transferring officials involved in the scam instead of taking stricter action against Suresh, who he believes should face imprisonment. He alleged that, apart from BJP MLA TS Srivatsa and himself, all other MUDA board members were implicated in the scandal.

Highlighting the personal implications for Siddaramaiah, Vishwanath mentioned that the Chief Minister’s wife, Parvathi, had been allocated one of the sites under the 50:50 scheme as compensation, which further tarnishes Siddaramaiah’s reputation. Vishwanath expressed disbelief that Siddaramaiah, known for his effective governance, would jeopardize his dignity over this matter.

Vishwanath called for immediate action, urging Siddaramaiah to transfer the case to the CBI to restore public trust and uphold his integrity.
