Mysore/Mysuru: Routine operations at the Mysuru Urban Development Authority (MUDA) have resumed following a halt due to the investigation into the 50:50 ratio sites allotment scam. The government has given the green light for MUDA to carry on with its usual activities.
In a letter to MUDA Commissioner A.N. Raghunandan, Urban Development Department Under-Secretary K. Latha confirmed the government’s approval to resume normal operations. The letter specified that tasks such as revenue collection, building plan approvals, anyakrantha, and other services can now proceed.
The directive emphasized that all activities must adhere to the rules and regulations outlined in the Karnataka Urban Development Authorities Act, 1987, and comply with current guidelines and norms.
Previously, the government had ordered a suspension of all routine MUDA activities on July 2, pending the investigation team’s verification of documents and records related to the alleged scam. This suspension included the disposal of files, implementation of decisions from meetings, and site allotments, which were to be halted until further notice.
With the government’s new directive, MUDA can now continue its operations while ensuring compliance with the established legal framework.
